2024 Walk-A-Thon & 5K Run Event Recap

One Walk. One Community. One Celebration.
On Saturday October 12th, Mary’s Place by the Sea hosted its 13th Annual Walk-A-Thon & 6th Annual 5K Run Celebration. To say the day was a success would be an understatement. With the sun shining bright, our community gathered with positive and powerful energy, ready to walk/run in support of our incredible guests.
Our Team is so grateful to share that this year we raised nearly $185,000! As if that wasn’t exciting enough, we also hit a record number of participants registered with almost 1,300 walkers & runners!
The green in Ocean Grove overflowed with participants wearing pink tutus, ribbons and team t-shirts. The Mary’s Place Team couldn’t help but smile at the sight of such a powerful community gathered together for the benefit of our guests.

We want to say a special thank you to all of our Sponsors, Donors, Vendors & Food Trucks who generously supported this year’s event. Thank you to our dear friends, the Pat Roddy Band, for sharing your musical talent with our community and for joining in on the celebration!
And of course, thank you to each & every participant who ran/walked with us (in person & virtual) – without your participation, this event would not be possible and we are sincerely grateful for your unconditional love and support.
All Proceeds Provide for Our Guests
All proceeds from the Mary’s Place by the Sea Walk-A-Thon & 5K Run allow our guests to hit the pause button and take part in restorative services for their mind, body and soul. While in our care, our guests receive all integrative services, meals, and accommodations at absolutely NO COST, thanks in part to fundraisers such as this.
Thank you for supporting our mission so that we may continue to provide a place for women with cancer to heal: mind, body and soul.
